Certificate Earned Upon Completion: Yoga Therapy for Sacro-Iliac, Sciatica, Scoliosis Issues (SSSI)

Pre-requisites: Course Planning 1 through 6

This course includes discussion in the anatomy and physiology, how to safely and effectively plan and design a class practice, the current research using yoga as the intervention, and healing suggestions for using yoga for clients with these issues.

Requirements:

• SSSI Online Class - Ten one-hour classes on Schoology, each class requires Discussion Posts.

• Case Studies Online Class - Eight-week online class where you present two case studies of client’s you’ve worked with who have an issue with one or more of the topics for this certificate. Case study presentations are made on the case studies online class—see Current Online Classes.

• Practical Application Module (PAM) - 18-hours of in-person training where students will work with clients with respiratory issues.

This course is taught by JJ Gormley, a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP).

This course is an Approved Professional Development course with the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT) for 38 CEs.

The Practicum Application Module has not been scheduled.
