Yoga Therapy Specialty Certificate Programs for Continuing Education
Specialty Certificate Programs (SCPs) are designed for those students who would like more in-depth training in a specialty area. SCHYS programs are limited to 12-participants due to the Practicum Application Modules (PAMs) associated with each SCP. SCHYS students & graduates have priority access to these programs.
Each Specialty Certificate Program has a set of requirements in a combination of online classes and in-person practical application module(s) (PAM). The cost of each Specialty Program is based on the number of the requirements needed. Students in SCHYS programs may have fulfilled some of the requirements in their training and may therefore be eligible for a reduced rate. Please inquire if you believe this to be the case and the reduced rate is not already listed as one of the payment options.
All SCHYS programs train our teachers to be Trauma Informed, have training in Western/allopathic anatomy and medical terminology, and to use All-Inclusive Language. Graduates of our 200-Hour training program are eligible for RYT200 with the Yoga Alliance. Graduates of the Foundations for Yoga Therapy Program, Specialty Certificate Programs and other programs are eligible for Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP) hours. Nine Specialty Certificate Programs are eligible for Approved Professional Development for Continuing Education credit hours with the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT). Graduates of our 300-Hour training program (Step 1) of the accredited Yoga Therapy Certificate Program are eligible for RYT-500 with the Yoga Alliance. Graduates of our accredited Yoga Therapy Certificate Program are eligible for C-IAYT with the International Association of Yoga Therapists. Please click here to download our brochure.

Note: fees for the PAM for the Specialty Certificate is not included in the YTCP tuition, and therefore must be paid for before attending the PAM. Students may receive a Specialty Certificate upon graduation from the YTCP, however the Specialty Certificate may not be used for continuing education requirements as Continuing Education starts after graduation and receiving the C-IAYT status. Students may wish to wait until after graduation to attend the PAM and finish the requirements for the Specialty Certificate to be able to count the hours for APD/Continuing Education.
