Foundations for Yoga Therapy
Foundations for Yoga Therapy
Prerequisite: any 200-hour program or equivalent.
This course is valuable for all teachers whether in a SCHYS program or not. It is for those interested in learning more about philosophy and how to plan a class or course to keep the individual or class of students as safe as possible. Learn all-inclusive language, correct sequencing of counter poses, rest poses, and more.
If you are a teacher of yoga and think you know how to plan your classes, think again. If you haven’t taken course planning through SCHYS, then this is a must and will improve your knowledge no matter how long you’ve been teaching or what you think you know about course planning. This class teaches you a new way to think about breaking poses down and properly preparing the student for the pose as well as how to counter (correctly).
The classes in this Foundations of Yoga Therapy Program are required as part of SCHYS 300-hour/Step 1 or for entry to any SCHYS upper-level programs including any Specialty Certificate.
Student’s who take this Program, and then sign up for a Step 1 program, can deduct the cost of this program from their tuition cost.
